Now as a mother of two who is nursing our youngest, I'm finding it hard to eat when I'd like to. I've noticed that on some days I become light headed if I'm not deligent about eating when I first start to get hungry as opposed to only eating whenever I happen to get the chance. Making a smoothie only takes a few minutes and is something I can sip on throughout the day and helps me get the proper nutition I need while nursing. All of the smoothies I make start with a base of greens. Today I used about one handful of an organic baby spinach and kale mix. At the grocery store I found a new frozen fruit mixture by Dole that sounded interesting. It consists of pineapple, banana, mandarin orange, and sweet potato. After adding a handful of the Dole mixture, I added some fresh pineapple that I had chopped up a few days prior and half of a banana. I've recently read that flax seed helps with milk production. I add about one tablespoon to each smoothie and finish it off with some water up to the "max fill" line on the NutriBullet cup. Blend and enjoy!
