Caring for Your Mums

Mums are easily one of my favorite flowers to spruce up our curb appeal every year. They come in such beautiful colors and although they do require some maintenance, they are relatively easy to care for. Simply remember to keep the soil moist and cut off any dead blooms back to the closest new growth and you'll have beautiful flowers through October. I even cut off my blooms with regular scissors instead of garden shears! Life has been so busy I can't even tell you where my shears are. I just grab my scissors and go out front and trim a little at a time unless I happen to get enough time to run out and cut off all of the dead blooms at once.
